How long have you been skating?
11 years or something like that. I got my first board when i was 10. and am
21 now.
Who was your first hook up or sponsor?
Think skateboards and venture trucks. I ws 13. keith cochraine and greg
carroll gave me stuff.
Who are your current sponsors?
Foundation skateboards,. Coz F is bomb. Pig, sessions, speed metal, Iron
Horse, Metro skateboard shop, ammon, hoven
What is your daily routine?
Umm lemme think. I usually get up between 9 or 10. I consider that sleepin
in coz ya know im up all night watchin cartoon till atleast 2 everynight. There
is always good cartoons on late night. I get outta bed and put a record on
and start jamin out, or I turn the tele on and watch the kiddie channels with
morning cartoons. Well that's goin on, im usually on my computer checkin emals n
that bullshit. Myabe go browse ebay for a bit. Next I go back to me room,
throw some hair gunk n and make my hair wild n stuff. Throw on an outfit. Talk to
Brittany(my girl) and call my brothers or friends and see what the plan is
for the day. I usually cruise over to my parental units to meet up with brothers
n friends to go skate. On the drive over to their house Brittant n I almost
always hit up a burger joint or taco bell. Get to my parents and figure out
where were gonna skate or what were gonna do n stuff like that. Ya know jus
typical crap. Skate for a few hours and get on a lurk mode after that and usually
cruise home n make dinner n listen to tunes. I live the simple life, very
plain jane but it is fun fun oh baby fun fun!
How many people is your ideal skate session?
If it is more than one car full, I don't wanna go out. I like to be with 2 to
3 friends. I aint a fan of big crews, It sucks havin another car following
n crap like that I hate it. And goin to a spot and ya cant even skateboard coz
there is like amillion cats comin from eery each way.
Who do you like skating with the most?
Adam, he is a few years older than me, But I have grown up skatin with him
since I was 13. he is the best guy around town, but he plays in aband and works
full time so he doesn't have much time for skateboarding, but when we do go
out that's always a good time. Oh boy, adam is the best guy to skate with. We
have quite a lovely time! My brothers Kevin and Stephen. I like skatin with em,
theyre both really good to. My lil brother Kevin is amazing. Are homie
Cameron, is always down for the session too. Cameron basically lives at my parents
house in my old room there. Those are the usuals, but I love skatin with the
old 88 team. Those were the best times ever. Ed, Conklin and the team. That
shit was tough!
What is your favorite skate spot?
I think Barcelona would be if I ever make it out there. That place looks so
tits. Man, that place looks rad! But otherwise I will say anywhere as I am with
homies and not getting the boot. Yeah! That be chill, and if the spot has
smooth ground and tall ledges that be extra green!
What is your favorite place to chill?
Well duh, lurking in my lurkum. My house is my favorite hang out. It's the
best fort around. Goodtimes, yeayeah!
Travel or stay home?
If I could have my friends and my girlfriend and all the food I have back
home and all my records and cartoon shows with me Id like travelin more. I like
seein all the spots and seein the world is like the coolest thing ever! But I
really like being home. I have everything I need here. But I am scarce on
spots. But tour is hekca sweet! Slags n skating and partying. Yeayeah! Tour is
radical. I am ready to rock out on tour any day
Coke or Pepsi?
Coke forever. And cherry coke even better. Pepsi? Never!!! Sorry mike!
Have your balls ever popped out of your pants?
They are always lurkin around. But recently on a fallen trip. I was olling
over a rail with a pretty good sized drop. I landed and my tail busted! When
that happened, I did the full on splits! Eeks, it was awful. And my pants didn't
hold up, the damn things blew up at the crawch and shameless ol' me was
skatin with me cock n balls floppin about. No Dice!!! I blow my pants out a lot
and I always have the one eyes monster peekin at the world.
How old were you when you bought your first home?
About ayear ago, when I was 20 my dad proposed to me about putting money
down on a house in the bay area. I went half with him, because I am too broke
to pay for the whole thing. And over time I am gonna make it my own place. I
will opay off the old man one day, but first I need a shoe sponsor to help out
with that. It is so exciting havin my own pad though. My friends are always
over kickin out the jams, and different skateboarders always crashing. Its sweet!
Definetly so much fun. I get to blast rock n roll all night and do whatever I
wanna do! Fuck yeah! I love it. The good life I must I say!
Do you have a mini ramp in the back of your house?
Hell yeah I got a mini ramp. Ive had the ramp since I was 13. it was designed
by wade speyer! Its 4 n half foot tal and really steep. I love it.
How far is Walnut Creek to SF?
it takes 20 to 25 minutes from the creek to the big shitty. Close enough if I
wanna be in that hellhole but far enough away. The creek is so tough! I got
everything I could ever want out there. It's the perfect surburban dream!
How often do you skate SF
Usually once a week. Not always to skate though. There is always awesome
shows out there. So I am there on Friday or Saturday nights catchin the gig. I
like seein live shows a lot. It is always fun to rock out! I like to go to the
record stores out there too!
How comes nobody comes over and skates Duffel Land?
Lately a bunch of suckas been comin out. But forever nobody came to my neck
of the woods. It is really good to skate out here I think. A lot of people don'
t care for my spots, but I love em coz they are what ive grown up
skateboarding! The ground is pretty rough and a lot of the spots are sketchy or jankey!
But fuck it, I jus wanna skate, and I dig the spots.
You can film a entire video part in your hometown.
Ive filmed 4 parts out there. Haha
What is the best city in the US you have skated lately?
Most definetly Denver is the best city Ive been too. The coolest kids n such
awesome spots!!! I cant wait to go back out there with Angel Ramirez to skate
n chill!
Seen any good skate videos lately?
The pig video. I like it a lot. Green room or die! I am also siked on it, due
to the fact that all the dudes on the team are my homies n such! But I dig it
coz its jus raw skateboardin n fun times!
How many hamburgers do you eat in a week?
Atleast one a day always. They are perfect, fast cheap and always fill ya up.
Brittany and I are always bbqing em and eating at burger spots! Id say 8
burgers a week! At least!
How long have you been on the Coke & Burger diet?
As long as I can remember. My whole family is on a diet like that. Junk food,
pizza, steaks burgers, soda pops, just good eat basically!
Ever think about switching to Pepsi & Pizza diet?
Hthats brittanys diet, shes into pepsi. I could never be on that diet.
Although diet pepsi gives me the loudest burps! I don't eat cheese either, so that
kick aint gonna happen.
Do you think it's possible to loose 50 pounds in 5 months?
\well duh! Mike Sinclair puilled it off! Way to go sucker!
What trick gives you the biggest problem?
Which one doesn't gimme a problem. I must say back 3s and ollie impossibles
are the hardest for me. I try so hard to learn and I cant seem to get em.
How many times have you broke your wrist?
My left one has been havin problems since I was 13. I have broke it over 5
times now. No fun at all. My right one twice. My left wrist is basically dead
now. It sucks!
If you could build a skate team who would be on it and why?
Etahn Fowler, Heath Kirchart, Bill Murray, ya gotta have the funny guy!
Rattray, dollin, Trujillio, and cards. That be so tough.
What magazine do you like to look at the most?
The ones with me on the cover. Haha. Jk. But seriously. I like comic books
the best.
Why do you hate putting on new wheels?
The feel akward. Make my bearings feel slow and soft. And I am very lazy, my
wrists are weak so its abig pain havin to take the bearings out n all.
